We live in a world where being busy is a sign of success.
We glorify busyness and wear it like a badge of honour, telling everyone our hectic life story like it should win an academy award.
If we’re not run off our feet then it means we’re not doing enough to be considered successful.
Take a look at how we greet each other these days.
‘Hey how are you?’
‘Yeah good. Busy. Really busy.’
‘Yeah me too. Life’s hectic’
Guilty as charged? I know I am.
We’re given a glorified pat on the back when we’ve rushed around all day or pulled an all nighter.
But the issue with this is you’re missing the moments that define your life.
Each and every moment is an opportunity for you to live your highest potential
And your busyness is taking that away from you.
You weren’t meant to go through life running around like a headless chook.
You were meant to go through life enjoying each and every moment with ease and grace.
It’s time to reconnect with each and every moment.
Learn what’s important to you.
Get your time back.
Press pause on the rollercoaster of life.
Start now. Take three big deep breaths in and out.
Reflect on what you are doing right now in this very moment.
How is your day looking? Have you been rushing around? Is your to-do list a mile long?
You need to shake it up.
First and foremost you need to prioritise the people and the things that matter most to you and if they are not alignment with what your day-to-day life looks like you need to change it.
Put this at the top of your priority list. Make it happen. This is important. If you don't in 10 year’s time you will look back on this time with regret.
